Handpan Models & Sound Scales
We are starting with eight handpan models across our Entry, Professional, and Master quality levels.
Each model has its own scale and note configuration. Please check the individual product page for the specifications of the handpan you choose.
The numbers in names such as D Kurd 10, D Kurd 11+2, and D Kurd 12+2 identify different handpan model configurations.
For example, ShengHandpan offers D Kurd models in 10, 11+2, 12+2, and 13+6 configurations. The exact note layout and specifications should be confirmed on the relevant product page before ordering.
D Kurd and Pygmy are different handpan scale names. ShengHandpan offers several configurations so you can explore the musical scale that best suits your preferences.
Our current range includes D Kurd 10, D Kurd 11+2, D Kurd 12+2, D Kurd 13+6, C# Pygmy 9, C# Pygmy 9+6, and F# Pygmy 21. We also offer E Amara 20.

Our Entry Level D Kurd 10 is a starting option for customers exploring handpan playing for the first time. The Professional and Master ranges offer additional model configurations for different musical interests.

Steel Materials
ShengHandpan offers three material options across its product range:
- Stainless Steel: Available in Entry, Professional, and Master quality levels.
- Nitrided Steel: Available in our Professional Level range.
- Ember Steel: Available in our Master Level range.
